Dilapidated hearts

Made new by the sun

The air itself seemed blue

An extension of the sky
Wisps of cloud, dancing like angels

But one came down to rest

Taking form before me, upon a bench
A swing

As we dangled our feet

And I gazed into her eyes

Emerald, incredible

and deeper than deep space
“The horses have escaped.”

We were terrified to touch then

And then we drove

AT the end of the route – a gateway

two trees, trying desperately to reach each have other

just as we were, between every new sun

Remember the music

Remember the laughter

and sleep – even slumber was exciting

  1. I’m wondering why I don’t visit your blog more often… maybe you put me off by writing some fluffy poem about a cute puppy, or kittens that lost their mittens.
Though somehow I don’t think so.
